MRI KNEE
Protocol:
MRI was performed on a
Siemens 1.5 Tesla MRI system with multiple sequences obtained in multiple
planes (PD, T1, T2, STIR, PDFS, and 3D sequences).
Findings:
Bones and Cartilage:
- Normal morphology and marrow signal
of femur, tibia, and patella.
- Articular cartilage shows normal
thickness and signal with no evidence of chondromalacia or cartilage
defects.
- No bone marrow oedema or subchondral
cysts.
- No osteophytes or joint space
narrowing.
Menisci:
- Medial and lateral menisci
demonstrate normal morphology and signal intensity.
- No evidence of meniscal tear, root
tear, or meniscal extrusion.
Cruciate Ligaments:
- Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and
posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) appear normal in thickness and signal.
- Fibers are continuous with no
evidence of sprain or tear.
Collateral Ligaments:
- Medial collateral ligament (MCL) and
lateral collateral ligament (LCL) are intact.
- No sprain or abnormal signal noted.
Muscles and Tendons:
- Quadriceps and patellar tendons show
normal thickness and signal.
- Patellar retinacula normal.
- No evidence of muscle edema or tendon
injury.
Fluid and Cysts:
- No significant joint effusion.
- No cysts (e.g., Baker’s cyst)
identified.
Other Structures:
- Hoffa’s fat pad appears normal.
- Neurovascular structures within the
field of view appear normal.
Impression:
Normal
MRI of the knee. No evidence of ligamentous, meniscal, cartilage, or osseous
abnormalities.
